EnergyCostIndustry: The influence of the energy cost on the competitiveness of the Hellenic industrial sector, funded by Citizens Network for Europe and Greece, Project Β.395, Research Center of the University of Piraeus.

The project aims at assessing the energy cost in the industrial sector in Greece, in comparison to relevant costs in European countries. It provides quantitative analysis on the competitiveness of the industrial sector, as well as indicators on its energy efficiency. It describes the different components of the energy cost, namely the day ahead, forward, ancillary, Interruptibility and balancing markets. It identifies the European policy framework for supporting the industrial sector from carbon leakage and provides policy recommendation for regulatory and market reforms in Greece, that could mitigate the overall energy system costs, including that of the industrial sector.
