EDF: Development of an energy demand forecasting model for the Protergia S.A., funded by the Mytilineos Group S.A., Research Center of the University of Piraeus

The project aims at the development of an energy demand forecasting model for the medium voltage consumers of Protergia S.A., a leading alternative energy supplier in the Greek electricity market. The model provides short-term hourly forecasting for the power of the next day, up to a period of five days, aiming to contribute to the daily needs of the company to submit robust demand declarations/orders on the wholesale market. The model incorporates historical load and temperature data, providing clusters with similar profiles patterns.
